We will be having a Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner at 5pm on February 25th at 5PM. Please bring your family and friends as we kick off the season of Lent.

LENTEN BIBLE STUDY
Pastors Bible Study for Lent starts on February 27th at 2PM. This DVD and book study, The Last Days of Jesus, is a 6-week study on in-depth studies connecting the Bible to life. Cost of the book is $6.00.

WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY
The winter session of Women's Bible Study began on Tuesday, January 7 at 1:30 p.m. in the Youth Room.  This is a DVD with handouts class.  Our topic is: Windows on the Gospel: The Denominations of Christianity.  Denominations covered are Orthodoxy, Catholicism, Lutheranism, Presbyterianism, Episcopalianism, Baptists, Pentecostalism, and Methodism.  See Kathy O'Dell with any questions.  Cost $5 for handouts, payable at first class

C.A.N. is in need of blankets in the clothing department. Please bring gently used blankets either to the church office or directly to C.A.N. 232 Teegarden Ave., Yuba City.

WRITING GROUP
A slight change starting this year, the Writing Group will meet the last Monday of the month rather than the 4th Monday. For most months it has already been the last one but this way there will be no confusion.

OUTREACH WINDOW
Donations of fresh fruit, peanut butter and jelly for the lunch bags and hygiene items would be appreciated. The Month of December the window gave out 149 sack lunches, referred 20 families to C.A.N., gave out 26 hygiene bags, and 11 tarps.

The 2019 Coffee Fellowship Sign-Up sheet is in the Narthex. Please help fill in the next year! All of the Committees have signed up for a Potluck Sunday, please check to see when your committee is hosting

Spaghetti Dinner & dessert auction
The Annual Spaghetti Dinner & Dessert Auction is on Friday, Feburary 28th. Dinner starts at 5pm, Auction promply at 6pm. Tickets are on sale from any Finance Committee member.

Large-print and regular copies of the Jan./Feb. issue are available on the table by the Library. $1 is asked to cover the cost. Please use an offering envelope and mark it “Upper Room.”  Thank you..
