The women of Marysville First UMC gather for fellowship, service, learning and support of ministries near and far. Long known in the church as United Methodist Women (UMW), the ministry is now United Women in Faith.
Our United Women in Faith support church and community ministries through hands-on service, special projects, fellowship events and fundraising. The annual Rummage Sale and Fall Bazaar are among the familiar ways this group brings people together while supporting its work.
UWF members also help care for people within our church family. Care bags for homebound members are prepared several times during the year, offering a practical reminder that they remain part of the life of the congregation.
Women are invited to participate in UWF activities and in Miriam Circle, a small-group women’s ministry connected with United Women in Faith that gathers for programs, conversation and friendship.

A big thank you to everyone that helped with the Rummage Sale, either with set up, tear down, donations or food. With all the areas we made a total of $5034.00 which is one of the highest amounts we have ever achieved. Again thank you to everyone.
As UWF, we have a few important dates coming up that we are hoping you all can attend and bring a friend if you like. The first is our Election of Officers and General Meeting on Sat., Oct 10 at 11:00 AM in Pioneer Hall. This is the meeting where our officers are elected for the following year. As a UWF your vote is important to the ongoing success of our organization. It’s also a great time for fellowship with all the other ladies in our organization. Lunch will be provided.
The next important date is Sat., Oct. 17, 2026. This is our CA/NV Conference Annual Celebration in Loomis, CA. Our guest speaker will be Sally Vonner, UWF CEO and General Secretary. The registration cost is $25.00 and includes a light breakfast and lunch. You can register on line at CANVUWF.org. You can pay online or give a check to Carol Schellenger.
Our next planning meeting is Wed., Oct. 21 at 10 AM in the Youth Room. At this meeting we will be planning for our Fall Bazaar, which will be on Sat., Nov. 14. We will need everyone’s help with providing items to be sold at the bazaar as well as setup, baked goods and items to be sold at the luncheon.
